I originally planned for this website to be where I would post light novels that I write. If you don't know what a light novel is, it is a Japanese style of novels targeting middle schoolers to high schoolers or young adults. In the west they are known as ranobe or LN. Typically the are 40,000 to 50,000 words long (Wikapedia), but can be compared to a novella.

Hello! This is one of my current brainstorms. Please read it and leave a comment sharing your opinion. I will expand on it as I go.

Chapter 1 Rough Draft

“Looks like I'll need to cross through this to get to grandpa's house.” said a boy holding a phone. He wore cargo shorts and a t-shirt while carrying a backpack. From first glance no one would expect him to be a foreigner. He had black hair and very distinct violet eyes. No one also knew that he was half an hour late thanks to a delayed flight. Regardless he walked past a gate and into the park, or so he thought. That morning Japan was pulled into crisis; a school was held hostage by armed terrorist.

As the boy walked along a brick path, cherry blossoms floated down from their trees and onto the walkway. Birds overhead chirped as the flew in flocks, but sounds of humans were lacking.
